This book reminded me how much I hated the first book at the beginning。 I grew to enjoy the first book but unfortunately this one never caught on。 I think I might be too old for this series because the entire plot is incredibly easy to guess， but the author was holding them like some sort of major plot twists and ramping up to give a grand reveal but the entire time I was like “yes I know （view spoiler）[Tyson is no ordinary kid （hide spoiler）] just get on with it” or “yes I know （view spoiler）[t This book reminded me how much I hated the first book at the beginning。 I grew to enjoy the first book but unfortunately this one never caught on。 I think I might be too old for this series because the entire plot is incredibly easy to guess， but the author was holding them like some sort of major plot twists and ramping up to give a grand reveal but the entire time I was like “yes I know （view spoiler）[Tyson is no ordinary kid （hide spoiler）] just get on with it” or “yes I know （view spoiler）[that girl on the ground is Thalia （hide spoiler）]， geez I am so shocked”。 Another huge issue I had with this book is that the characters are painfully two dimensional and stupid and I literally yelled “oh come on that’s so cheap” at one point because the plot device was so obvious and I kinda hated myself for reading it。It’s a fun read even though it has all the problems。 And it’s a fast read too。 Overall it’s quite satisfying to finish a not-too-awful book in one day and totally submerge myself in a cheap fantasy world （but magical nevertheless） for a day。 。。。more

OH MY GOD！ i am so in love with this series。 the characters， the plot， i just can NOT get enough of it。 percy and his crew has done it again。 ALSO TYSON <3 he is my new favorite character。 the way percy and tyson’s brotherly relationship grows through the book makes me feel so happy。 i am a sucker for strong sibling bonds。 i cant wait to get home and start the third book！

Read this in one day， thankfully this arrived in the mail the day after I finished the first book because I wanted to dive right back in。 Before I even finished the 1st book I came on here and ordered the next two in the series。 I loved the new characters we are introduced to in this book like Tyson， and Hermès they were my favorites alongside our three main characters。 The novel size was shorter than the first which I didn’t mind。 It was still packed with adventure， mythology， humor， and friend Read this in one day， thankfully this arrived in the mail the day after I finished the first book because I wanted to dive right back in。 Before I even finished the 1st book I came on here and ordered the next two in the series。 I loved the new characters we are introduced to in this book like Tyson， and Hermès they were my favorites alongside our three main characters。 The novel size was shorter than the first which I didn’t mind。 It was still packed with adventure， mythology， humor， and friendship。 Starting the third novel in a few。 Will need to order the last two in a few days。 Best series I’ve read so far。 Great series for any age and anyone。 。。。more

Cute story。 I love Tyson！ The story itself I give 4 stars。 Unfortunately I haven’t had much time to read lately so I had to listen to the audiobook at work。 The audiobook I rate 2 stars。 I hated the different voices portrayed by the reader。 It was quite obnoxious and I found myself skipping ahead at times。 The voices might have been entertaining if I were 10。 But the story is entertaining。
